Venues

These are some of my favourite wedding venues to work with. I have developed a good working relationship with them over time and rate each one of very highly.

French Wedding - Chateau du Guerinet, Loire Valley, France www.loirechateau.com

An intimate baroque fairytale castle venue in the centre of France only 1.5 hours from Paris and easily commutable from London Stansted to Tours airport. Owned and operated by an Australian couple, the chateau holds weddings up to 80 people and can accommodate up to 40 overnight guests on the estate in absolute luxury. Religious ceremonies and blessings can be held in the private chapel or on the grounds. Bespoke weddings are our speciality or select our credit crunch buster wedding package just launched for exceptional value weddings. The grounds are lush and the reception rooms bright. Photographic opportunities abound from the sweeping Louis XV stairs, the private chapel, complimentary pair of horses and Victorian carriage transportation for that fairytale arrival, chaise longues, to name a few.

The Royal Society of Arts, London.

London Wedding PhotographyAn intimate venue located right in the heart of London on John Adam Street behind the Strand. I've photographed weddings here from 25 guests up to 150 guests and somehow the RSA always feels 'just right'. They have a variety of rooms and locations around the building... all of them exceedingly photogenic and cosy. For more information please visit the Royal Society of Arts website.

The Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.

London Wedding PhotographyLocated right across from St James park in London, their function rooms upstairs are atmospheric and stylish. With unobstructed views to St James Park (a great place for a few photos) and large bright spaces, the ICA provides a great place to have your wedding all under one roof. For more details please visit the Institute of Contemporary Arts website.

The Grove, Hertfordshire.

London Wedding PhotographyA lovely country setting, yet easily accessible from London. This venue has some of the most impressive grounds anywhere in the UK. Enough gardens to easily get lost in and a sprawling conference center that has facilities for weddings of all sizes and tastes. Visit The Grove website for more information.

The Waldorf Hilton, London.

Hotel du Vin, Tunbridge Wells.

Northbrook Park Estate, Surrey.

Music - Discos, DJ, Live Music, Quartets etc!

I first came across The Wedding Music Company at the Royal Society of Arts where we are both accredited suppliers. Our paths have since crossed on various occasions and they provide a fully bespoke service with a roster of extremely high quality musicians. They’ll arrange any live music you want ranging from ceremonies and background jazz to Swing bands, cover bands and discos. They’re good for advice on ceremony repertoire and are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of choirs for church ceremonies. With an office in Edinburgh, they are able to offer genuine countrywide coverage so if you’re planning to book that Scottish Castle you’d always dreamed of for your wedding, they’ll still be the right people to contact.

Give them a call on 020 8293 3392 or email John at john.davies@weddingmusic.co.uk . Alternatively, if you just need some ideas at this stage have a look at their website www.weddingmusic.co.uk . It’s quite a good place to start, before you contact them.
